TITLE: "Loving embrace" Embrace of our ancestors The Indian Residential School Survivors Society estimates there are more than 10,000 children in unmarked burial sites at residential schools and Indian hospitals across the country. My heart is heavy by this loss and this Painting is my humble prayer to honor the memories of our precious children., I used "our" because, we must be loving parents to ALL children, and cherish them dearly. This painting depicts a joyful reunion with the ancestors and loved ones. It symbolizes the profound connection that transcends time and space, reminding us that we are all linked. We are onefamily. |

In Shiraz, June 18, 1983, ten amazing women were hanged on Chougan Square, the youngest one was only 17 years old. They were executed for their belief in the Baha'i Faith; they believed in the independent search after truth, unfettered by superstition or tradition; the oneness of the entire human race, the basic unity of all religions; the condemnation of all forms of prejudice, whether religious, racial, class or national; the harmony which must exist between religion and science; the equality of men and women, the introduction of compulsory education; the establishment of a permanent and universal peace…these women died to uphold these principles, and their sacrifice continues to inspire women to rise up against injustice.
